J+C Wedding: Peek

A lovely, intimate, and unique wedding.

Tradition is what you make of it…

I love love love these special events and am grateful to be part of them.

Cheers to you Jennifer and Craig, many blessings – and thank you!

Simply stunning and elegant.

T+S: Engaged Peek

Oh I’ve known this spicy red-head for a few years now.

I LOVE her… and am so happy they have found one another.

Take a peek at a beautiful, fun, vivacious and perfect pair.

Ellie: Senior

I took these in the fall… and am thrilled to finally share these!

I have known E for a couple of years now and was thrilled to be able to photograph her senior portraits.

What I love about her is that she exudes innocence, intelligence, confidence and love.

She is beautiful, talented, shy (with me) and as sweet as sugar.

This is the type of senior session I adore – a mix of grace, fun, elegance, sass, talent and youth.

She really is a natural in front of the camera, as you will see.

Please enjoy this session… along with:

The light, the color, the beauty and many faces of Miss Ellie.

.love.

Stock Show Saturday

Every time Paul and I go on a date night we sit cozily with a wine in hand and chat about our life.

We are away from any distractions and begin to mention all of the things we want to do and type of people (parents, husband, wife) we want to be.

One important goal is to spend some quality time with our children.

We want to focus on making them happy, travel around, take them to places that will create fond memories!

Since the new year we’ve been trying to make Saturdays (or Sundays if I HAPPEN to work) a day where we do something out of the house!

Get unplugged and enjoy one another and go places that are out of our bubble.

It’s not as easy as it sounded. The past three Saturdays we have been out on little adventures, but with the kiddos there can be challenges.

A two year old may throw a fit, about which way the wind is blowing. You may have to drag her into a shop kicking and screaming… bribing her with fudge. :)

The baby may need to nurse or be changed – at inappropriate times and places.

The 8 year old may pout about anything and argue until we’re all blue in the face. Even when you threaten spankings left and right.

Well this Saturday was the MOST pleasant.

Why… you ask?

Um, a few words:

Stock Show. Rodeo. Midway. Park. Enchiladas. Fun.

Need I say more? They were never bored.

There was never a dull moment.

Paul and I even were on the KISS CAM at the rodeo…

When the announcer asked if we were married… I pointed to the baby I was WEARING (after smoochin’ my fella) and the announcer said,

“OH I DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE, now I am blushing.”

I loved that people in the audience who knew us… or peeps from FB noticed it was us. :)

The kids were able to ride rides, eat popcorn and caramel apples at 10:30 am, watched bull riding, and knew the day was for them.

This is very encouraging to us as parents… seeing their happiness and without ANY meltdowns.

Moments like this is teaching us how to cater to the CHILD in them and have some fun.

I have been bringing my camera on these excursions… which has been fun in helping me learn how to capture candids and fun moments.

(not my best photographer attribute)

I hope you enjoy these COLORFUL, fun and precious images of my sweeties!

I wondered if Parx would be afraid of all of these rides… NOPE, she was so excited and ready for the next one!

Pierson was so loving and wanted to go on all of the rides with his LITTLE sister. Passing up some of the BIG rides, to go with her.

About two seconds after this Parx started screaming… so they stopped the cars to let her off.

All she wanted was the BIG bears hanging from the games.

Pierson wanted to go on the haunted house ride… but NOT alone. :)

 How magical.

Baby R: Peek

I love these two, ‘ahem I mean THREE.

Shasta and Lance are such ‘good’ people.

Caring, loving, super easy going and attractive.

They just welcomed their first baby… a son, into this world!

I was eager to meet the precious babe.

Well, he looks JUST like mama and has the COOLEST nursery!

I gotta say, I love a bright, airy and unique nursery.

It made for some very cool backdrops for his first portrait session!

Baby boy was fantastic for us, despite some hiccups with a couple of things.

He slept like a dream and posed like a champ!

Enjoy Mr. Reece Pierson 9 days old!

(he and my Pierson weighed the exact same at birth!)

.love.

S+L: Maternity

One of my favorite couples… married last year and pregnat just a few months later.

I was thrilled to be able to caputre a very special time in their life!

Cheers to Shasta and Lance… the new parents, as they just welcomed their son into the world.

Now, I am off to photograph their precious baby boy!

.love.

Tarren Senior

I don’t often photograph the fellas…

I have such a bad habit of posing like a girl, even when showing the male species how to pose.

Tarren was great at dealing with my hip pops and shoulder turns.

He definitely appeased his mother and myself and was so easy going about it all.

I LOVE how artistic and cool these images turned out.

The masculine gray tones he chose were complimented by the surrounding colors of fall, the purple garage and the stone that the Modern provided!

May your senior year treat you well and take life by the horns!

Congrats Tarren.

Baby C: Peek

Baby C was eating just as we arrived.

This gave us plenty of time to set up and get the area ready for shooting!

He was perfect for us and allowed us to pose him anyway we wanted.

No fits, no crying, no pooping, the one time he had to peepee I had diaper covering him… I mean it was so easy!

What a perfect subject he was, I imagine he will be a perfect son. :)

Baby Cullen’s big sister was so patient as she anticipated her time for photos.

She was just as great as her little bro.

Thank you to the J Family for allowing us to capture your handsome new bundle of joy!

.love. and .congrats.

L+B Maternity: Peek

Well, here we go – kickin’ off the NEW site with a RAD maternity session.

These two were fantastic… beautiful, cool, hip, trusting and patient.

Sweet Lauren had to put up with some pretty hardcore winds.

Something about this winter, the wind has been a bit obnoxious.

After hitting up the Modern we drove down a street nearby and just popped by places I thought were cool.

Stop.GO.STOP!Go…etc.

I am SO glad we opted for this rando-street session for the second half.

We found a really cool property that provided some amazing backdrops!

I think you will love them just as much as I do!

.love.

The perfect light.

.and.

A beautiful mama!

A+C LOVE: Peek

These two have made it a tradition to have photos taken of the two of them during the holidays.

I was so happy to capture this year’s LOVE session.

I also think it’s very important to have photos together, without kids.

It’s rare that couples keep up a photo sessions when they don’t yet have children, but wouldn’t you love to have these in your home?

You never know what late December Texas weather will be.

Fortunately for us – it was absolutely perfect.

Enjoy these two love birds.

Thanks A & C, y’all rocked it!
