When Heather mentioned the GIGANTIC sunflowers for her maternity session, I was so excited.
I remember wanting to shoot there last year, but never had an opportunity.
We left FW way before the sun had even risen and were able to snag some amazing shots at sunrise.
Sunflowers are tricky with photography. You see those sweet SUNflowers follow the: SUN.
If you turn their back to the sun (the way I often shoot), you are turning their back to the gorgeous flowers too.
So we went across the highway where they faced the sun in order to get these beautiful shots.
Fortunately for us, there were plenty of clouds floating by to allow for some shaded filtered light shots!
Mark was awesome and held the reflector at times – to block the sun on Heather’s face and belly. 🙂
They were such troopers!
